Our Approach
Helikx Open School and Learning Center traces its origin to the Helikx Trust (Reg. No. 187/2002), the activities of which spring around to the imparting of academic skills with specific learning disabilities. Our motto is “Darkness to Light,” and with the Principle of “Can you teach me the way I can learn’’
The school, with a team of trained teachers, a psychologist, an occupational therapist, and With unique methodologies, as a pioneer in this region, creates an awareness and education through internationally acclaimed SLD concepts. This effort over the last 11 years has resulted in 350 children passing out from the school to become high achievers. Our endeavor here continues to provide happiness and joy to every child.
We are accredited by the National Institute of Open Schooling, an autonomous organization under the MHRD, Government of India, an institution with a difference. For the secondary education course, we are accredited with NIOS (SAIED) since 2007. For the elementary level, we are accredited with NIOS, OBE (Open Basic Education) from 2010. (A level 3rd std.B level 5th std. C level 8th std)
A learning disability is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects the way an individual processes and comprehends information. It can manifest as challenges in reading, writing, mathematics, or other cognitive skills, often requiring specialized support and accommodations to help individuals overcome these difficulties and achieve their full potential. Dyslexia means having difficulty with words in reading, spelling, and writing—in spite of having normal intelligence and ability—by Dr. J.E. Cullis, 1992.
